The Queensland Government have I received an official report in connect- j ion with the recent massacre of! missionaries in New Guinea. The report is confirmatory of the press reports already published. MrLe flunte, in concluding his report says:— "We can do nothing further tid next minth (June) when I shall return. There will be no further fighting cr burning. 1 am satisfied this is the last massacre of this kind on the coa<?t of British New Guinea I regret the nature of the punishment, but the action was absolutely necessary, and will provebest in the end.
