Chatham Islands are to have a dair7 factory, started by a couple of Woodville residents. The "Cheviot News" states that some time ago Mr Hullen engaged an -expert to make a thorough examination of a property owned by him on the Seaward Range, where kerosene was supposed to exist. The result of hia investigation is that he has struck what is believed to.be an unlimited supply of pure kerosene, a sample of which the "News" had the pleasure of examining. The sample in questioa, although in the raw state, burns brilliantly. Mr Hullen has gone to Wellington "with the object of getting the samples analysed, after which he will take immediate steps to float a company to work the deposits. The "Southland News " says:— "The rapid advance in the price of tin is having the effect of directing attention to the almost deserted Pegasma tinfields. We learn from Mr C. W. Brown, who has been in correspondence in reference to the matter for some time past, that an expert is now on his way out to inspect the field and report to an English syndicate, and, judging from the tone of recent correspondence, there appears to be every prospect of business being done if the report proves satisfactory." Try This if Troubled with Rheumatism. — Our little boy was afflicted with rheumatism in his knee ; and at times unable to put his foot to the floor. We tried in vain everything we could hear of that we thought would help him. We almost gave up in despair, when some one advised us to try Chamberlain's Pain Balm. We did so, and the first bottle gave so much relief that we got a second one, and, to our surprise, it cured him sound and well. — J T Bays, Pastor Christian Church, Neodesha, Kan.
