At the Epsom Spring meeting the City and Suburban Handicap resulted as follows : — • W Cooper's Newhaven 1 Jersey's Survivor 2 Lord Rosebery's Tom Cringle ... 3 (Received April 20, at 10 45 p m.) London,. April 20. Newhaven won by two longths. Time, 1 18 (?). Merman finished 16th and Uniform last. The Prince of Wales witnessed the race. Newhaven's win was a popular one.
