Brown ; that the Recesß Committee to confer with the Judgeß in reference to law examination regulations, consist of Stout, Rev Qahena, Or Grace, F.tchtt-, Mr •Milor, ard the Chanc llor'a motion that the words " Answers must be given in the language chosen" m subsequent 4 of section 7 of the Bt\tutes of the senior scholarships bo omitted, and that the words "Eaaay to be writ en in the Janguaere chosen" in soms subject arising out of the principal words of authora of the period be inserted in lieu thereof, was relegated to the Committee. The recommendation of the committee in the question of phyeical science for honors, wbb adopted. The senate next discussed the Finance Committee's report when it was resolved that the bum. of L9OO be set down in account aa advance, and that the advance Bcholarßhip account be permanently transferred to ihat account ; that twelve junior scholarships of an an annual value of L4O and one Benior of LSO be offered for competition in 1892 ; that Sir James Preadergast and Dr Grace be a standing financial committee to advise the Chancellor regarding the investment funds, and that the Chance lor be empowered to engage with the concurrence of the committee, a financial agent. A bonus of LSO was voted to the registrar. The members of the Sanate were entertained at a coveraazione of St Patrick's College last night. The Senate concludes on Monday.
