BRUNNERTON.

(FHOM OFK CORRESPONDENT.) April 28. The TaylorviUe school committee held their last meeting on Monday night, Mr B. Armstrong in the chair. The Chairman proposed and J. Bixtsr seconded that Margaret Robinson, at present teachat Moonlight, re appointed to be pup 1 teacher to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Miss M 'Donald. Mr Malcolm moved and J. Baxter seconded, thab the Chairman be thanked for Ihe pleasant and efficient manner in which he discharged the duties of his office daring the year. The chairman feelingly replied, remarking that the past year had been a red letter one bo far as the relations of the committee and the head teacher were concerned, there having been no unpleasantness at one of the meetings, nor a single complaint sont in against any one of the staff. 1 * 5 - The annual meeting of householders waa afterwards held, Mr Armstrong beiog called to the chair. The reports of the committee's proceedings were read by the secretary, and of finance by the treasurer. The income was L3l, the expenditure L 25, and* the balance L 6. A motion was made and carried that Mr Malco'm and Miss Scott be heartily thanked for the trouble they have taken In bringing the children up to such excellent form for the last concert, which seemed to have given more than ordinary satisfaction. The Chairman declared the following gentlemen, they only being nominated, as the committee. Richard Armstrong, Joslah Masters, Thomas Bland, Henry Angel, WillUm Urqahart, Thomas Merriman, and Griffith Owens. After a vote of thanks to the acting chairman and secretary, the meeting was declared closed.
