(Received February 13, at 1 10 am. Melbourne, February 12. A bush fire is raging near Sandhurst, which has devastated 12 miles of country and is still unchecked. (Received February 13, at 10 50 a m.) Sydney, February 13. Government are inviting tenders for the supply, of 1700 tons of steel rails to.be manufactured in the colonieß from the colonial products. The request of the Western Australian Government has not been granted, and the Federal Convention will open its sittings on the date originally fixed. Adelaide, February 13. At the Shearers' Conference, which opened yesterday, Mr Spence, President of the Shearers' Union, in his address, .urged the men to advance in a new form, and instead of spending large sums of money on strikes, and fighting battles with pastoralists;, expenditure shoald be in the direction of improving their position politically. Trisbane, February 13. The labor unions have decided to boycott Chinese cooks and gardeners after March Ist.
