THE NEW PLYMOUTH MURDER CASE.
. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) New Plymouth, May 22. At the Inquest to-day John H. Still, storekeeper, Opunake, stated that he had never purchased any boots from the "Cgmont boot factory. The prisoner had j stated that he purchased boots from Mr Still of Opunake, and this evidence was to ■how that Still had never had any boots of the Egmont factory made for sale. He did not remember even selling any boots to Mahl Kla. W. H. Toogood, Pihama, , ■tated that he knew Mahl Kia. He did not sell or give a pair of drawers to Mahl Kia. The prisoner' had stated that he got the drawers he was wearing when arrested from Toogood. C. F. Mills stated that he saw Maloney with a purse like the one produced. ■
