ACCIDENT TO S S GAIRLOCH.

Auckland, May 19.

Shortly after leaving Waitara. harbor yesterday 'morning, the Northern S S Co. 'a Gairloch bumped heaviiy on the Waitara bar, and in getting over broke' her shaft and propeller. Signals of distress ;were shown, and the vessel was towed into the harbor by the Waitara steam launch. The damage to the Gairloch is estimated at £200.
