THE POLITICAL CRISIS. Sydney, January 16. ; Sir H. Parkes has been sent for by t^e Governor. Up to 6 o'clock this evening he had seen only two of his supporters. It is understood that he will form a Free Trade Ministry without going, outside ttie ranks of the Opposition. He may possibly advise a dissolution of Parliament, in which case Sir P. Jennings will ask for supplies to be voted on the meeting of the House. January 17. It is probable that the announcement with reference to the new Ministry will be made to-day. Barton, late Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, has signified his intention of j relinquishing politics, as he has no intention of accepting the Premiership of the present Ministry. ANTI-IMMIGRATION LEAGUE. The Anti-Immigration League has passed a resolution condemning any form of Protection, and a procession of members of the League marched through the streets yesterday, carrying trade banners. An anti-Protection meeting was afterwards held In the Domain. A MASSACRE. A report has been received from Kimberley that 30 blacks have been massacred in that district. A CANDIDATE FOR THE SPEAKER- | - , SHIP. It is considered probable thst Anguß Cameron, who has been recently elected member for Kiamia, will be a candidate for the Speakership of the Legislative Assembly, and which was recently resigned by Mr Barton. (Received January 17, at 10.5 p m.) MINISTRY MAKING. Nothing has yet been decided as to the formation of a new Ministry, though several names are mentioned as likely to be members of the Cabinet. A COiL MINERS STRIKE. A large crowd of men on strike at the Bulli impeded new hands who were proceeding to work this morning, and persuaded them to join in the strike. RAILWAY COLLISION. A<= Petersham to-day a goods' tr»in ran f nto a passenger t-aln, causing damage to the extent of ,£4OOO, and blocking the line for several hours. No one was Injured by the accident.
