Wellington, July 28. In reply to Mr Menzies, who asked if Government would consider the propriety of lighting night trains with the electric light, Buckley said the matter was undsr consideration by the railway authorities. Wilson moved that Bonar, Miller, and Wilson be managers to further confer with the managers of the House of Representatives with regard to the Council's disagreements with certain clauses in the Local Bodies Loan Bill. Discussion ensued, resulting in the amendment that the former managers be appointed being carried on division. Menzies moved the previous question, which was talked out. The Waimate Racecourse Empowering Bill was read a second time. The Frst Offenders Probation Bill was considered in committee and progress reported at 5 o'clock.
