THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT.
Melbourne, July 21. In the Financial Statement last night the Treasurer showed the net income from railways to be L 615,000, which returns 4*2 per cent, on the capital, the Hobson's Bay railway returning 7} per cent. The Treasurer stated that Ibe Post Office showed an annual loss of L 109,090.
