THE SCIENTIFIC FRONTIER.

London, July 20. Intelligence is to hand from Central Asia respecting a difficulty which has arisen between the British and Russian Commissioners for the delimitation of the Afghan frontier, who are now at Khaja Saleb, on the river Oxus. The Russian Commissioners claim a large stretch of fertile country extending twelve miles along the banks of the river Ous. Their demand is objected to by the British, and the expostulations on the difficulty have been referred by the Commissioners to their respective Governments at St. Petersburg and London.
