All entries for the Hack Races and Produce Stakes shall be made subject to the approval of the Stewards. 4. All horses must be ridden in colors. ', 5. In the event of any person lodging a protest, the sum of 1 soy. shall be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered. The amount so deposited will be forfeited to the race funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. 6. Any person entering a horse shall pay the sum of £1 Is to the race fund in order to qualify. The races will be conducted under the Canterbury Jockey Club rules as far as the same are applicable. J.
