John Abraham, D.D., the first Anglican Bishop of Wellington and canon of Lichfield Cathedral. (Received November 18, at 1.15 a.m.) THE CAROLINE ISLANDS. Berlin, November 17. The decision of his Holiness the Pope respecting the Caroline Islands was made known to-day. His Holiness recommends the German Government to recognise the claims of Spain to the territory in question, and accept the commercial concessions offered by Spain.
