Arrived ot 7 a.m., Waihora, from Wel- . lington, with San Francisco mail. The express was caught. o&The New Zealand Shipping Company are advised that the s.s. Ruapehu, with the London mails to October 23, reached Capetown on November 13, and left the following day for Auckland, calling at Port Chalmers Heads to land mails.

The flames were suppressed with difficulty The steamer is injured to the extent of £sQ,^ndthe cargo, of. .flax to iBO. The Th'ef flax ignited through the sparks from the_funnel, and was uninsured.
