SIR WM FOX AT AUCKLAND.

Auckland, November 16

Sir Win. Fox lectured to-night at the Baptist Tabernacle under the auspices of the Gospel Temperance Mission on the progress of the temperance movement in Great Britain and the Continent. There was a large attendance. Thos. Spurgeon, president, in moving a vote of thanks expressed a hope that Sir Wm. Fnx would re-enter Parliament as a national leader of the Temperance party. Sir m. Fox said that nothing would induce him to do so for ordinary political work, but if he saw a reasonable prospect of getting through a local option or prohibition law he would be willing to consider the matter.
