COMMERCIAL. LIVE STOCK MARKET. '■ Monday, October 5. Fat CATTuE.--4-Although the number yarded was Bmall, 60 head, yet it seemed bo^be in excess of requirements, and a few were left unsold. The bidding was dull, and prices were in favor of purchasers as compared with the last sale. The stock submitted comprised from prime to almost stores, and prices ruled accordingly. The top price reached for bush fed bullocks was fill 15s, and the lowest £7 10s. Heifers of the same mob, very small, brought from £6 10s to £5. The Wanganui cattle topped the market at £12 ss, and gradually receded to £9, at which price the balance vas withdrawn. We quote prime beef at 28s per lOOlbs ; medium to inferior at 25sto22sGdperl001bs. Fat Sheep. — There were only 69 head of good serviceable wetheis, and the first 10 brought 18s 9d per head, the others 19s. Prime mutton may be quoted at up to 3s 4d per Ib. Fat Pi«s. — There were a very large number submitted, and prices ruled in >roportion from £5 down to 37s (id, acording to size. Pork brings about 5d per 1).
