REVENUE RETURNS,
Mkhbottkne,' October 1. The Victorian quarterly returns give the revenue for,, the past three months as one million iour hundred and fifty thousand, a decrease as compared «ith the corresponding, period of last year of twenty-four thousand. The principal falling off was in the excise, land sales, and territorial revenue. Adelaide, October 1. The revenue for the past quarter amounted to four hundred asd thirty-one thousand, an- increase of twenty-one thousand on the same period of last year. Sydney, October 2. The revenue returns for the quarter ending September 30, is £1,673,000, being an increase over the corresponding quarter of last year of £59,000 The improvement is chiefly in the customs, railway and post office revenue.
