CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
[to the editor.] Sir, — The Greymouth evening paper says : "Surely it is time the Grey mouth Caledonian Society were moving in the matter of their annual sports." No doubt it is ; but, before subscriptions are collected for sports at Christmas, under the auspices of the above-named society, there are many persons subscribed to the funds last year who would like to see an audited balance sheet, and learn how the funds were disbursed. The secretary and treasnrer, for their own satisfaction and credit, doubtless, will see to this.— l am, &c, Ped. Greymouth, September 30, 1885.
