NATIVE LANDS.
A large meeting of Natives residing on the East Coast of this Island and in the neighborhood of the Hot Lake district will be held in the month for the pujpose of considering the land question and the advisability of passing their lands through the Native Lands Court. A number of Waikato Natives -are averse to putting their lands through the court, and are endeavoring to influence others to the same way of thinking. A meeting wijl be held either at Taupo or Rotorua. The Native Minister has received an invitation to be present, which he has accepted, and he leaves for Taupo at the end of next month.
