LIONISING SALA.
Wellinoton, September 17. A party comprising his Excellency the Governor, Mr Sal a. Major Bodham, and a number of other officera, visited the fortifications to-day. Sala gave his last lecture to-n'ght, the subject being "Reminiscences, of his friends Dickens and Thackeray." He leaves by che Rotorua for Christchurch to-morrow. He was entertained at supper by the members of the Wellington Club to-dight.
