Commander Edwin wired at one o'clock yesterday that bad weather might be expected from any direction from north to east and south-east, glass to further fall, •with wind backing and increasing sea. •• The s.s Maori arrived this morning from Wellington via Pictoii,- bringing nearly 1000 sacks of produce from Picton, con- . signed to Kenndy Bros ; also, 30 tons general cargo from Wellington. She sails again to-night. The s.s St Kilda sailed yesterday morn-
ingfor Wellington and Wanganuiwith coal, i coke, and six fireclay gas retorts for Wanganui gas works. The s.s Koranui sailed for her usual round of ports yesterday, taking Nelson on her way; on this occasion. She took away a 1 number, of ' passengers, amongst them being Messrs Girdwood and Hungerford. ■.-.,.....■
