EDUCATION COMMISSIONERS.
-_ + Monday, July 27. The Commissioners met at the Education Office, Mackay street, at 8 p.m. Present : T. Roynane, Esq. (chairman), and R. Nancarrow, Esq. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and the outward correspondence read and approved. : The following letters, &c, were read and dealt with : — From the secretary, Greymouth Committee, enclosing twe letters, the first asking that the salary of the head teacher may be computed on an average of 445 \ instead of 444, and the second recommending that Miss Polling's services be retained, and that Janet Robinson and Florence Brown be appointed pupil teachers. Resolved— " That the head teacher's , salary be based upon an average of 445. That Miss Polling's services be retained as first-class pupil teacher ; and that Janet
