» LIVE STOCK MARKET. Monday, July 27. Cattlb. — Whether it was the large number yarded, 75 head, or the depressing effect of the soaking downpour of rain, we cannot say,,.bufc prices receded fully a pound a head all round from this day fortnight. The stock comprised from prime beef to very medium, and the weights were also of \he same nature. The Wanganui consignment topped the market at £11 15s, and averaged for bullocks £10 10s per head ; heifers, small, £5 11s per head. The top price of the flaupiri bullocks Reached £11, and the overland lot up to -*9) * ac weights seeming to suit the trade. We quote best beef at 25s per lOOlbs, and medium to inferior down to 22s 6d. Sheep. — There were two drafts penned, one from Wanganui, and one from Haupiri. The former lot realised 17s 6d to 18s per head, and the latter 12s 6d to 14s per head, or an average of 2£d per lb. Pies. — 40 were to hand, and comprised heavy weights down to medium, realising from £5 to £2 7s 6d, or about 5d per lb.
