CARPENTERS' STRIKE,
Blenheim, July 27. Twenty-five Blenheim carpenters are on strike against two employers who refuse ta reduce the hours from 48 to 46 by giving two hours on Saturday afternoon. All the other Blenheim masters granted it, and the custom is the same in Wellington district. The men on strike will be supported by the Trade Society, which has a branch in Blenheim.
