CANTERBURY V. WELLINGTON, Christchurch, July 25.
The Interprovincial football match, Wellington v. Canterbury, took place on Lancashire Park to-day. The weather was cold with a thick fog. The ground was in fairly good order. Over 3000 people were present. The first spell was a succession of scrimages, neither side scoring. After half-an- hour's play in the second spel], Fuller secured a touch down for Canterbury. Bean took the kick, but failed to make a goal. A few minutes after Bean took a long kick from a mark got by Dow, and scored a goal. No further score was made, and Canterbury won by six points to Ilil>
