A disturbance ensued and Dale was arrested by Constable Cullen, who was hooted and severely assaulted by a number of larrikins. Dale- was lodged in gaol and two of the ringleaders in the assault on the constable were arrested for a 'breach of the peace duringthe army procession and were fined £1 and 10s respectively.
