AN ABSENT GRAIN MERCHANT.
Christchurch, January 24,
Application was made to the Supreme Court yesterday to have Mr Moore, of Moore and Co, grain merchants, adjudicated a bankrupt. Mr Moore it absent in England, but the lawyer who appeared for him said he had not left with intention of defrauding his creditors, and _ would return in February. The application was adjourned.
