A BANKRUPTCY.
Dunedin, September 18. A meeting of the creditors of George Boddey, proprietor of the Leviathan Hotel, was held to-day. The liabilities are £930; assets, £20. Referring to Evans's meeting yesterday, the creditors said that the bankrupt had been a party to the deception practised on the Equitable Company, but lie considered it was excusable, and the company went into the matter and made valuation with their eyes open. If any one pass censure he would like to see that man. The assignee said he would have no hesitation in passing censure on the bankrupt, for he deceived the company. The meeting was adjourned.
