At the Supreme Crart Piercy King, for forging and uttering at Palmerston North, was sentenced to six years. Bradshaw, for larceny as bailee, three months.
At the inquest on the. body of James Graham, drowned in the river yesterday, a verdict of "found drowned" was returned. Dr Garbe said he knew deceased for years, and that he was of intemperate habits.
