FEDERATION MEASURES.

Melbourne, July 9. In the Legislative Assembly this evening, a motion for an Address to the Queen praying that Her Majesty would cause to be submitted to the Imperial Parliament a measure providing for the constitution of a Federal Council for the Australian Colonies, was carried unanimously.
