THE WAR IN SOUDAN.
[reuter's telegrams.] OSMAN DIGNAH STILL FIGHTABLE. Cairo, April 1. Information has been received from Souakim that Osman Dignah, witli a thousand followers, among whom are many influential sheiks, is now encamped near Tamaneb, and preparing to fight the tribes in the neighborhood who are friendly towards the British. . (Received April 3, at 0.55 a.m..) MORE TROOPS WITHDRAWN. Three more British regiments have received orders to return to their stations from Soudan, and embarked at Souakim to-day.
