Wellington, April 1. Wm. Hutchison, M.H.R. for Wellington south, addressed his constituents to- I night. He opposed the federation scheme, and thought the colony should not be called upon to bear the expenses. Annexation was a different thing, and he was not opposed to it if certain islands in the Pacific should be annexed to NewZealand. He did not agree with the annexation of New Guinea by Queensland, as he thought they only wanted to extend their labor traffic. He received a vote of thanks and confidence. , I
