THE REVENUE.
April 1, The Victorian revenue returns for the last quarter are published. The receipts amount to £L,G40,000, being an increase of £165,500, as compared with the same quarter of last year. The customs' revenue is increased by £1300, land income by £72,000, and railway receipts by £86,000. The excise revenue decreased by £43,000.
