A few days back the reef took a different course more to the west, and in going for it a new splice of reef was found. The charac er of the latter addition is reported to improve the value «>£ the property. Phoenix—The contract f=>r driving ;n intermediate level is now about finished.

During the driving a moderate width of reef has been maintained in the face. The stone procured in these operations when brought to the surface exhibited payable prospects.
