A man, supposed to be T. C , Bennett was found dead at Shingly Creek to-day. He is supposed to have fallen from his horse. ■•;••. Invercargill, January. 3. A man named Thomas Smith, aged 57, was received into the hospital on New Year's night with several ribs fractured. He states injury was caused through a fall while wrestling at Lumsdeh tcwhship about 50 miles from Invercargill. Inflammation of the lungs set in, : and Smitli died yesterday. The police are making enquiries, and it is probable an inquest will be held.
