From a series of tables constructed at Lloyd's 'for the purpose of showing the arerage lengths of voyages from all parts of the world i o the United Kingdom during the twelve month* ending June 30, 1880, we extract the following as affording information of inteießt to these Colonies :— From South Australia — 125 vessels, average passage 128 days Froaa Melbourne— 7o vessels, average pass* age 108 days Fr^m Hydney— 49 vessels, average passage 106 dys ••• The lon cut passage from South • nstralia was 167.- days and the ah Vtest 90 days; from Melbourne it was 143 days and 83 • ay*.; atd from Sydney 141 days and 77 days respectively.
