Instead of the many disagreeable and ex' pensive operations required in the applica ion of a sinapism as prepared by the ordinarj method, one single leaf, immersed in watei for half a minute and immediately aftor ap plied to the skin, will have the same effcci as produced by a Mustard poultice, bui without the annoyance of any linen beiiu boiled, and saving the patient and the peoplf near him from the inconvenience of tho dis agreeable smell and acrid vapor arising oul from an ordinary poultice.
