ANOTHER COLLISION IN THE ENGLISH CHANNEL. EXPECTED CHANGES IN THE ENGLISH CABINET. London, March 9. Consols have advanced J, and are to-day quoted at 995. Adelaide wheat (ex warehouse), has declined to 49j 6d per 496 lbs. At the wool sales to«day 8000 bales were catalogued. The bidding was animated. It is generally expectad that important changes will shortly take place in the Cabinet. March 10. The barque Chandiare, from Napier, which arrived off the coast on Monday, came into collision yesterday with the Euphrates as she was coming up the Channol. She suffered considerable damage, and shortly afterwards went aahore on Goodwin Sands, She ha 9, however, aince been tugged off and brought safely into dock. The Euphrates was but slightly injured. Consols, 99f. Adelaidde breadatuffs unchanged. Total reserve in notes and bullion in Bank of England, L 17,625,000. Five Per Cent. New Zealand Loan, 102J?; Five Per Cent. 1889 Loan, 110£, Best Australian leather, li^cl. There is but little enquiry for Austrelian hides, and prices are £d lower.
