Mblbotjrne, March 5. A company is being formed here to undertake the refining of sugar. The capital will be LIOO,OOO. The third day's racing of the V.R.C. Autumn Meeting took place this afternoon at Flemington, Newmarket Handicap, f mile, was won by the Aapen filly, in 1 mm 16£ sees ; Waterford, 2 ; Terrific, 3. Twenty-3even horses started, and it was a very pretty race. The Town Plate was won by Grand Flaneur ; with Sweatmeat, 2nd ; and Progress, 3rd. Sydney, March 5. The cricket match between the Australian team and the Combined Eleven of New, . South Wales and Victoria, was resumed to-day. The Australians in their first innings were all disposed of for 155, being 42 runs less than the total of their opponents' first innings. Murdoch with 65, and Blackham with 36, both bowled, were the highest scorers for the Außtra lians,;,, ,T.M e combined went to the wickets for their second innings, bat play was stopped by the inclemency of the weather, when they had put together 74 runs for 2 wickets.
