Miscellaneous. jTIXYGEN Is LIFE Although the modern Materia Medica in- , eludes many valuable remedies for human fflictions, it is a matter of certainty that in all cases where the animal vitality is failing, Phosphorus is decidedly superior to every i" {.her remedy at present known. It will r~rk effects such as nothing else will produce, and it possesses the great advantage of not causing, when its use is relinquished, the slightest reaction or depression. But a chemical process has row been discovered by which its invaluable action on the humau system may be realised without any of those drawbacks which previous modes of administration have invariably produced. «V CAUTION.— PHOSPHORUS is sometimes sold in the form of Pills and Lozenges ; it should be generally known that every form where solid particles of Phosphorus are in combination is dangerous.
