In the Hanlon-Courtney match, Hanlon alone rowed, owing to Courtney's boat having been aawn asunder on the preceding day. Hanlon claimed the COOOdola prize, but was refused under the circumstances. A thousand dollars reward wag offered for the recovery of the offenders. There was great excitement. Courtney alleges that efforts were made to bribe him, and that Hanlon demanded half the money whichever won. Wheat is expected to rise 10^ to 12s a quarter in the ensuing few weeks.
