IT is hereby notified, for general informa* tion, that the REGULATIONS govern* ing the disposal of UNCLAIMED LETTERS have been amended to the following ex tent : — Letters posted within the Colony, having the Names and Addresses of the Senders printed on the address side of the envelopes, will, if not claimed within One Month, be returned unopened to the Senders, through Chief Postmasters. Letters posted within the Colony, having the Names and Addresses of the Senders printed on the address side of the envelopes, accompanied by a request that the Letter*be r- turned if not claimed within a stated period, will also be returned unopened. Provided, however, such Lettera sh»ll have remained in the Post Offise to which they may be addressed at least Ten Days. Such of the Public as may be desirous of taking advantage of the above Regulations are recommended to have the necessary endorsements printed on their envelopes. Letters, however, which do not bear on tho envelopes any printed endorsement as above described will be treated in accordance witl. the existing Regulations for the disposal ol Unclaimed Letters, viz., retained at tht Post Ofiice to which they are addressed for i. period of two clear months, and then forwarded to the Dead-Letter Office for return to the writers.
