The Titnaru Herald's own correspondent describes the speech of Sir William Fox as disappointing, and that he indulged in that kind; of . display which is more propet for an actor than a statesman ; also that Sir George Grey's was of a similar character. It is said that Sir George Grey intends to stump the country' prlbt to next election. -, Several members are expected to leave Wellington immediately, .to make peace with their constituents. It is rumored , that the Opposition intend raising a sum of L2oiooo/toi.defray the expense •of candidates at -..the --forth- j coming election. . Mr Button and Mr Seddoffs Barnes are mentioned for Weatland ; Mr O'Connor and Mr Hazelden forßuller; and Mr Steward is likely to c6nteat Totara against Mr Gisborne. Mr Woolcock was looked upon by all parties as an expectant Minister should a dissolution not have been granted.
