All nominations and acceptances must be made in writing and sent in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, Albion Hottl, Greymouth, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse, and colors tf> be worn by the jockey 3. All stakes paid less 5 per cent. Three horses must start for each race, or the public money will be withheld ; the Eaces will be run under the Greymouth Jockey Club Rules 4. No Entry will be received unless upon the distinct understanding that the decision of the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint, shall in all cases be final, and all law proceedings barred 5. All entries for the Hack Race are to be made subject to the approval of the Stewards 6. All horses must be ridden in colors 7. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of L 2 2a must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is •• considered ; this sum to be forfeited to ths funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious S. All parties entering a horse must pay the sum of L 2 2s to the Eace Fund in order to qualify themselvea, entries for the Novel and Hack Eaces only being excepted 9.
