Captain Eiwin telegraphed yesterday as ! follows : — K-pecb bad weather any direction j between n^t.h eaat and north and west ; glass fa'-'ini?. and wind backing within 24 hoars ; exp^sb increase of sea. The s.s Kenned;- sailed for Westpoit and Nelson yesterday morning. The p. a Charles Edward will arrive' from Nelson via Eokitika to-day. The s.s Maori sails for Dunedin via northern ports this morning. A collision occurred on February 2 be* tween the steamers Go/Ahead and Hura, off Terawiti, on Sunday, at 4 a.m. The passengers on thfl Hura say that every attempt was made to steer clear, but th»t the GoAhead came right on, knocking a hole on the port bow. The steamer rebounded and ' scrapped alongside ; both steamers stopped, but finding no serious injury done, resumed ■ their journey, the Go-Ahead goin^ on to Wellington, t'ua Hura coining to Wanganui. The shock of the collision was sufficient to throw everyone off their feet. The Hura, in the act of steering off, caused the Go-Ahead to strike her in an oblique direction, not full on. There was great excitement amongst the passengers on the Hura, who presented Captain Holmes with a testimonial on their arrival,
