ANOTHER MISHAP TO THE S.S. MULLAUGH.

Hokitika, July 12.

The steamer Mullaugh went out on Saturday to lighten the brigantine Prosperity. After transhipping about 40 tons, whilst entering the river on Sunday afternoon, a big sea struck her, causing her to race and break the slide rod of the engine, which completely disabled her, losing her way, and the tide being on ebb, the cur-: rent gradually carried her astern, until she got beached on the north spit. It will cost a considerable outlay to get her off. She is uninsured.
