MISSING VESSELS.
• •- Wellington, May 17. Considerable anxiety is felt here regarding the steamers Stormbird, Tui, and Government steamer Stella, which left here on Saturday and Sunday. The Stella left for Taranaki on Saturday ; Stormbird, for Wahganui, on Sunday; and Tui, for Foxton, .on the same day. None of these appear to have reached their destination yet, though the St Kilda and Manawatu have left for Wanganui since. As a vessel -has arrived from Queen Charlotte Sound, and reports having sighted no steamers taking shelter there, anxiety is naturally aroused.
