The s.s. Tararua arrived in the roadstead yesterday, and was' tendered, by the p. si Dispatch. She then proceeded on her voyage to Sydney direct. ; The sb. Beautiful Star, expected to arrive here to-day, will sail for Westport, Nelson, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to-morrow. The p. a. Charles Edward will sail this afternoon, at 2 o'clock, for Westport and Nelson, The' schooner Isabella Anderson, coalladen, bound for Timaru, was towed' out yesterday by the p.s. Dispatch. Messrs Chesney and Co.'s line brigantine Eliz»-Fir.thiJeaptain -Stephens; was: towed-to" the Hokitika wharf on Wednesday morning. Captain Stephens reports having left Port Phillip, on the 24th December ; parsed Wilson's Promontory on the 27cb, and made land, after a favorable passage Across, on the Ist inst.; arrived off Hokitika on Tuesday, and towed in as above.
