There were no arrivals yesterday, but the p. s Dispatch towed over the bar the s.s St Kilda, which sailed for Wanganui, and the tug went on to Hokitika. The schooner Mary Ogilvie is now filled up with coal and ready for sea, and should be taken out the first opportunity, but as the Dispatch has gone to Hokitika it is impossible to say when that vessel will be attended to. . The following mail steamers belonging to Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood and Co., are announced in the Melbourne Argus, of 9th June, to leave Melbourne for New Zealand ports as follows :— Otago, June 13 ; Omeo, June 19 j Tararua, June 23; also the brigantine Zephyr, for Grej mouth, on 10th June The Eliza Firth, recently added to Messrs Chesney and Co.'s line of West Coast traders, ,had not arrived at her headquarters at the time the Claud Hamilton left Melbourne. She was, however, hourly expected, and, on arrival, would be at once placed on the berth for Hohitika. The following intelligence from New Caledonia is published in the Sydney Morning Herald:— "The Sibylle left Brest on the Ist of February, to act as convoy to 200 deportes about to be taken to New Caledonia. She arrived at Oran on the 16th February, and left again on the 22nd, to return to Toulon, where she arrived on the 2nd March. The Alceste takes the place of the Sibylle at New Caledonia as a man-of-war." " The lawyers acting for the owners of ships seized for breaches of the Kidnapping Act by Captain Moresby, of the Basilisk. were informed by telegram some short time since," the Sydney Empire states, "that the vessels would be restored by the Imperial authorities. Letters in confirmation of the telegrams have been received by the CaUfornian mail. The conditions attached to the restoration are that the owners stay proceedings in appeal, and pay the law costs incurred." '
